How to care for ski goggles

  • Clean lenses after every use. Use warm water, mild soap or lens cleaner to wash away dirt, oil and residue without scrubbing hard. Dry with a soft cloth.
  • Store in a protective case or shaded bag when not in use to prevent scratches. Avoid leaving goggles in direct sunlight.

  • Replace foam padding periodically. Compacted foam loses its protective seal and ability to wick away moisture, leading to fogging issues.

  • Apply anti-fog spray or wipe to lenses before use. Reapply as needed if goggles fog up during skiing. Use products specifically formulated for goggle lenses.

  • Never wipe glasses with abrasive materials like tissues while skiing. Carry a designated soft goggle cloth.

  • Inspect lenses regularly for scratches that impair vision. Replace lenses that become too scratched up.

  • Adjust and check strap tension to ensure snug and comfortable fit on helmet and head.

  • Keep interior moisture-wicking fleece fabric clean. Bacteria buildup causes lens fogging.

  • For goggles with interchangeable lenses, label and store spare lenses properly in provided cases.

  • Wipe down exterior shell and frame with a damp cloth to remove accumulated dirt and grease.

  • Bring lens cleaner, anti-fog spray and spare lenses when skiing to handle fogging immediately on the slopes.

  • After skiing, thoroughly dry out goggles before storage to avoid mold buildup.

Proper maintenance and care makes ski goggles last longer while delivering clear, fog-free performance run after run.
